The Role
We are hiring a Content Specialist to support our SEO team with keyword research, content briefs, and writing. You will learn our content strategy process from the ground up, then take on more ownership as you grow. This role suits a curious writer who likes research, pays attention to detail, and wants a career in SEO.
What You Will Do
- Research keywords and competitor content using Semrush and similar tools, and recommend topics for assigned clients.
- Write content briefs for our writers, including target keywords, outline, internal links, and sources.
- Write and edit web pages, blog posts, and location pages that follow the brief and the client’s voice.
- Apply on-page SEO basics: title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, and image alt text.
- Check content against approved client topics and guidelines before it moves forward.
- Review AI-assisted drafts for accuracy and tone, and fix what is wrong before it goes to a client.
- Track assignments and deadlines so that content moves on schedule.
- Follow our documented processes and suggest ways to improve them.
What You Bring
- 1 to 3 years of experience in content writing, SEO, or digital marketing. Strong candidates with internship or agency experience are welcome.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with samples you can share.
- Basic understanding of SEO, search intent, and keyword research.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow a brief and a process.
- Good organization and time management across multiple clients.
- Willingness to ask questions and take feedback.
- Comfort using AI tools as a starting point, with the judgment to verify their output.
Nice to Have
- Experience writing for legal, medical, or other regulated industries.
- Spanish language ability.
- Familiarity with WordPress, Google Search Console, and GA4.
